Bear Hunter, brown print, pennies, 18"x24"
Americas plight with economic stability is represented with this print. It features Ben Bernake, the current US Treasurer, posing behind his freshly killed trophy. The image is intended as a visual product for national media attention, ie. propaganda. The piece counters the pessimism and fear that sends shareholders into frantically selling their stock by serving as positive reinforcement to mark the end of the economic recession. Proud of his achievements, Bernake is portrayed as defeating the recession, in hopes for market stability, or at least future bull-market trends.
